It’s no secret that UNSW’s最近向Tryesters过渡造成了相当于Ruckus,但尽量不要担心,因为Trueisters意味着加速度!为了满足全职要求you need to study three courses per academic session, 一种lthoughduring one trimester you have the option to only study two(不能抱怨该)。

Generally a law course will have a total of 4 to 6 contact hours per week, soif you’re doing three courses you’ll probably end up having something like 15 contact hours per week(now that’s a timetable I could get used to).

Every course will be a little bit different, which means there could be subjects where there’s two lectures instead of a seminar and tutorial, a mix of lectures, tutorials, and seminars or a lecture and seminar only.

Lectures

In order to encourage a collaborative environment, lectures will most likely have anywhereup to 50 studentsand go for2 hours。

讲座是used to discuss and introduce the course content, but like we said earlier, there will still be a little bit more peer interaction than the norm.

Tutorials

Tutorials are smaller (大约30名学生) and even more hands-on than lectures. Theyrequire more preparation than a lecturebecause they are more peer-focused, they also只有一个小时so are a little more intense.

If you don’t do your readings you will have no idea what is going on, 一种nd this is important because participation counts for your final grade!

我们喜欢将研讨会视为the middle ground between a tutorial and a lecture,as they are used tointroduce and interact with the course content。They will also go for about一小时with around30 students展示。

What are the assessmentslike?

Most courses are built up of three main assessment points:参加, 一种mid-semester problem questionand atwo hour open-book final exam。Some courses will be different; theoretical courses, for example, will most likely have an论文组成部分。
