A Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Macquarie Uniprovides you with the knowledge and practical skills you need to walk into the engineering world!It’s a very hands-on degree with project-based learning which means you’ll haveclasses where you’ll be designing and building all kinds of things.

Degree Structure
It can be a little bit confusing to understand the structure of the course so we’ll walk you through what it looks like:

Essential Units
These are essentially your core units — and每个工程专业的学生都必须完成所有7个！Of course, you’ve got theIntroduction to Engineeringwhich provides you with a strong understanding of the principles of engineering and helps you develop your practical skills.

How to Get into a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at MQ Uni
You’ll need at least anATAR of 80for guaranteed entry into a Bachelor of Engineering at MQ Uni.
Pathway Programs

Assumed Knowledge
You’ll beexpected to have achieved at least a Band 4 in Mathematics Advanced.If not, you can do a bridging/introductory subject at uni (however this may mean it takes you longer to complete the degree).

工程学士t Macquarie istaught through lectures, tutorials and pracs. Lucky for you, Macquarie’s academic calendar consists ofsemesters(sigh of relief).

Lectures
Lectures can be between 1-2 hours depending and you canexpect to have around 60 peoplein the lecture theatre — depending on the subject, this can vary.
In the lectures,you’ll learn all the content so get ready to write some notes!Some of the lecturers try and engage with the students to make the learning more interactive. Luckily, thelectures are recorded so you can always revisit them or if you didn’t make it for some reason, you can watch it in your own time.
Tutorials

Pracs
Pracs can last anywhere up three hours and there’s通常有15至20人。
Now pracs can vary depending on the subject — for example, in physics, you usually have one prac a week which can last anywhere up to three hours. This would mean that您每周进行另一种实验，并通过一组问题进行工作。
If you’re studying Electronic Engineering,you might be tasked with designing a circuit, seeing how it works and then writing a report up.
How much time do you spend in class?
If you study a Bachelor of Engineering at MQ Uni, you’ll take four subjects a semester. You can期望每周有大约12-15个接触时间！
It’s important to remember thatyou also have to do a fair bit of work in your own time:exam prep, revising content, assignments and so on.
What are the assessments like?

What’s the Faculty and Culture Like?
Faculty
MQ Uni的工程专业学生是a friendly bunch and there’s no doubt you’ll make some great friends. Those prac classes where all the students work together on one big project, you really get to know the other students and it’s a lot of fun!
