What should you do in preparation for the exams?
Well, it depends on where you are in your HSC journey — are you weeks away from exams or you’re just having a peek at what to expect when you sit them at the end of the year?
If you’ve only started the Year 12 syllabus…
Then now’s the time to start building up your study notes. Of course you’ll have the formula sheet (Standard 1 & 2orAdvanced, Extension 1 & 2) during the actual exam, but there are going to be so many different types of questions you’ll need to answer and the formula sheet is only a guide to help you out.

Matt Saundersis a huge nerd who first got into writing through fan-fiction. He’d known science was the path for him since a young age, and after discovering a particular love of bad chemistry jokes (and chemistry too), he’s gone onto to study Forensic Chemistry at UTS. His HSC in 2014 was defined in equal parts by schoolwork and stagecraft, which left him, weirdly enough, with a love of Maths strong enough to inspire him to tutor any level, along with 7-10 Science and HSC Chemistry.
